Sing Silent Night

100 years ago, this Christmas, a miracle happened - on Christmas Day peace broke out in the midst of war and enemies found common ground. First in singing the carol, Silent Night, and then in a game of football played amongst the shell craters in no-man's land.  The story is retold in the short video.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
— The Bible

The soldiers on both sides laid down their weapons and met on the field, they truly reached out for peace on earth and showed goodwill to all men. This was an act of faith... both sides had to trust the other with no certainty that they would live up to their word.

Faith is fulfilling, Faith is hope

HOPE Church's annual Carols by Glowstick Service will be marking 100 years since that act of faith and hope on Sunday 21st December 6pm at Malmesbury School.  Come and join us, and hundreds of other churches and sports grounds up and down the land as we get together to sing Silent Night and celebrate the Hope that is the message of Christmas.
